The Máni mission will take Danish space exploration to entirely new heights, as it becomes the first Danish space mission to leave Earth’s orbit and travel all the way to the Moon.

From its orbit around the Moon, Máni will map the lunar surface in unprecedented detail, playing a crucial role in preparations for sending astronauts and robotic missions to the Moon in the coming years.

This evening, we are delighted to welcome the mission leaders behind Máni: Moon and Mars researcher Jens Frydenvang from the University of Copenhagen, and Chief Technology Officer at Space Inventor, Peter Davidsen.

Together, they will discuss the opportunities and challenges of the mission, and how the satellite places entirely new demands on technology, collaboration, and Denmark’s overall space strategy.
